Training is an important tool widely utilized by development programs in developing countries. Training as a process for optimizing the utilization of human resource that further helps the individual to achieve the organizational goals as well as their personal goals, an opportunity and broad structure for the development of human resources’ technical and behavioral skills ultimately leading the individual to attain personal growth.

The training programme are of two types; one is placement linked for e.g. Skill Development Training in Construction trade, Auto Mobile Mechanic Training, Information & Communication Technology, Retail Management, Hospitality etc and the other is Capacity Building Training for e.g capacity building of farmers, project implementers, agricultural scientists and engineers, government functionaries etc.

The general objectives of training programmes are:

  • To increase efficacy of project managers, implementers, trainers, Community Organisers, and Jankar (Para Professionals) for implementation of Watershed Development, Participatory Irrigation Management and Agricultural Productivity Enhancement programmes, in terms of knowledge, skill, and attitude.
  • To replicate successful experiences of natural resource management on a wider scale.
  • To create a workforce empowered with the necessary and continuously upgraded skills, knowledge and nationally recognized qualifications to gain access to decent employment. (Skill Development training programme).
